Good idea. I could PFM a servo to the valve, slaved to elevator.

The steam release valve could be used to direct air in a different slipstream in order to help facilitate lift (or yaw).

The only spare lid I can find has a steam release valve. I'm worried that could negatively affect the airflow. Can you tell me where I can get that exact lid?

In case you don't have time to fashion up a new "wing" for your plane - ala Christophe's "wing" that he sported at the WC in September... just grab a lid from your pot and clamp it to a piece of wood and then tape it to the fuselage... pic attached.
