The NMP header with the larger opening helps a lot. 

In the Magnum case, according to Buzz, its one of the component in the oil that causes the issue. He has since isolate the component, and the problem is supposibly fixed by now.

Up here, in the Northwest,  The guys running the small headers have had problems with the carbon plugging the header.  It apparantly doesn't take too long, especially if you are running the engine on the rich side.  I was running too rich on the idle, and it carboned up the exhaust valve pocket  within a very short time....
