Got this out of a news paper and figured it might be a good thing to try. Its very simple to do and will prevent the transfer of viruses through e-mail address books.

As you may know, when/if a worm virus gets into your computer, it heads for your e-mail address book and sends itself to everyone in it, thus infecting all your friends and associates.

To prevent this, first go to your address book and select add new contact. In the window where you would type the name of the person, instead type in AAAAAAA. Next, type somthing like AAAAAAA at a.aaa in the space provided for the e-mail address. The reason for using this is that your e-mail will place this entry at the top of your address book (Entry Number 1). When the worm tries to start sending out its clones to everyone in your address book, it will first run into AAAAAAA which, as a result of it not being an actual e-mail address, kick back as a failed delivery and stop the worm from going any further. This will send you a failed delivery warning, letting you know right away that there is a worm in your system. Then you can take the steps to get rid of it.

If you still don't feel safe, do the bottom also. Use ZZZZZZZ, and ZZZZZZZ at z.zzz to protect from getting a virus that may go up from the bottom of the alphabet.

Hope this helps!
