Tom
. I just remembered that they sent the dead parts back to me so I
dug them out of the pile and looked at the battery.
The battery is held vertical when installed by 2 legs that are soldered
onto the ckt board.
The mfgr is Panasonic.

Thanks for the tip Verne...is it the vertical or flat version?

Sounds like you and I  share the same 'fear' factor!!!

Thanks

Tom,
The CR2032 comes in a couple of different versions. You'll need the one
that has solder legs attached since it's soldered directly to the board.
You'll also need to know that you'll have your radio just about
completely gutted to get to it. There's a board immediately in front of
the LCD screen that's actually folded in half and connected together by
a ribbon connector. That's where the battery is located. Hope this
helps. BTW, I'm not a radio technician, just ignorantly fearless....

Hi Tom
.

I just had some work done to my ZAP last month
.
The lithium battery was one of the things replaced.
It is a CR2032.
This info is right off the repair invoice.
