Judging Performance

Actually Wayne, we did a primer for the last two years that was sort of
an open flying day with many seasoned pilots mentoring the
sportsman/intermediates and warming up for thier upcoming season,
testing new equipment, etc...This was done early before the season
started.
The event you refer to with the unknown was an after season
shootout/grudge match. The D6 SE Texas Intermediates had such a great
time together, we decided that we wanted one more contest, so we
organized a gathering, and asked Don Ramsey and John Forrestieri (sp?)
to judge for us. We also had Don come up with an unknown.

The pattern primers around D6 also included the intermediate class.
Last year in Houston they even did an unknown sequence that Don Ramsey
put together for them. They seemed to enjoy doing it. At first some
of them where apprehensive but after flying the unknown they thought it
was good medicine.
