Judging Performance

Several clubs in D6 sponsor "Sportsman Pattern Primers", generally early in the season. They take the form of one day events where experienced pilots fly demo flights, and then call / coach / debrief Sportsman pilots. Pilots may choose to be judged or just coached, pretty much for however many flights they wish and, when judged, they get a debriefing by the judges. Some Primers have a "mini-contest" for Sportsman only, again with judge feedback to the pilots. The focus is to expose those interested in trying pattern to the proper way to fly the sequence and low-key competition.

Earl, just what are the "Sportsman Pattern Primers" that you are referring to?
