I agree and have been guilty on two counts in the past. 1, for talking
and
2, for fixing/running a baukly motor.

My caller, when I use one, is asked to call two maneuvers at a time. I
need
the center maneuver and the turn round to start the schedule and then
the
turn around and the center maneuver in pairs after that. Clues like BIG
immelmann for squares on corner from the top etc. really help the pilot
but
probably not the judge.

One judge (7 Nat's ago) ordered her to call out loud so he could hear
the
maneuvers, She called them in pairs as she had been trained. Confused
the
heck out him. He was later removed because of complaints from other
pilots.

There is no rule requiring the pilot to have the "caller" speak or even
stand next to him.

My caller got fired this year because she switched off the radio and
hence
the fuel injector TWO times on her way out to the runway> She was doing
it
accidentally with her wrist. Mark Atwood substituted for her and did
absolutely nothing for my scores. His mini-skirt was too short - an ugly

picture...

Eric.
