Try the smaller prop...as for bearings don't know. I have not hand any bearing issues since switching to CP fuels.
Ring is about a 200-300 flight thing depending on how hard its run. I found this same life span on the OS 140EFI I ran in 2001.

  Troy,  Do you have any answers for why almost every time I send them back, they need new rings and bearings.  I've been using Magnum DZ blend 30%.  I've probably got a couple hundred flights this summer also, but it's taken three engines to do it.
