Chuck,
The Futaba will allow you to rotate the stick so that down elevator is at 11:00 and up is at 5:00. Personally, I don't do this, but the real issue is the normal tendency for so many of us to pull just a bit of right aileron, while pulling up elevator. This is a problem both in basic training (how many beginners struggle with unwanted turns just as they flare for landing?) and in aerobatics. Stiffer springs do wonders, and maybe a little stick rotation wouldn't hurt, either.
Thumbers may have more of a problem with this, but I fly with three fingers on the stick, so I can't really say, except that thumbing simply does not work for me! I've also always flown with a neck strap, and it may help.
Regards,
Dean

Subject: Need Some TX Advice
To date I have not been able to see or hold a JR 9303 and a Multiplex Royal Evo 9 in a side by side comparison. However, I have read much information on-line about each. I suspect the Evo's ability to rotate the sticks to help match thumb movements could help me overcome some troubling personal limitations I have been fighting for four years. Right now I use a Futaba 9Z equipped with Tony's stiffer springs. Please comment. TIA for your help.
