Need a recommendation for a muffler for a YS 140S

Hello There,
Are you sure that you didn't hear that a pipe wasn't necessary for a two-stroke at entry level?
The YS runs appreciably better with the long header and a large muffler. It may look like a pipe, but it's just a muffler.
The improvement is in the header length and muffler volume. You really want both.
YS do sell a shorty muffler, and the engine does not idle the same, and doesn't have the mid-range grunt,
while the exhaust bark becomes objectionable to these ears.

Regards and I hope this helped,
    Dean

I need to purchase a silencer for my YS 140 Sport to go in a Fantasy. Notice I didn't say tuned pipe because all of the info I've read says one is not needed for entry level. I was told by a fellow discussion list member that someone has gone as far as using a Mac's silencer for an OS 46! Any opinions on the different setups would be appreciated.
Thanks,

There are several good headers and silencers for the YS 1.40 check with central hobbies and they will hook you up.
