Resolution

I'm not proposing that I can certainly "feel" that kind of resolution difference, but I do know that I believe I notice the change around "centers" that the bigger steps cause. Makes the subtleties of expo more important, and if you're not careful, you can get wandering around centers as you're hunting for those really small control corrections.

Of course, I'm one of those who doesn't know enough to know what he doesn't know, either.

Thanks Ron - this makes me feel better about myself :-))

Then use the radio functions.

I agree with everything Wayne says, BUT, the truth is, most of us can't feel the effects of a difference in resolution with lower than 100% ATV. After all, before we had 1024 there was 512 and I can't remember anyone complaining about poor resolution back then. There are some pilots who really can tell the difference in resolution between 100% and 50% ATV, there are pilots who want the rest of us to think they can and then there's the rest of us.

My ailerons are way too sensitive on my Jupiter, Is it better to limit travel with dual rates?, or atv?, or is the resolution the same. (and yes, i'm on the inside of the servo arm and as far out as I can go on the aileron threaded rod).
