Wayne,
I have been using a foam roller for years now on epoxies as well.
Use it after spreading the epoxy with a notched 1/32 ply and scraping
the excess off until you're left with a sheen only on the sheeting and
then use the roller. Still using the Hairspray to stop the epoxy from
penetrating the balsa skins.
