"Cabinet Grade Particle Board"....where can I find it?

Ken, what exactly is the material you are referring to? Do you feel it would
be superior to MDF? I understand the material needs to be supported to
prevent sag...I just don't want anything that'll swell with moisture if I
need to leave the sheets in the garage...

Mark,
We in the "Biz" don't use MDF, medium density fiberboard, to build cabinets,
unless you want one "heavy as heck" cabinet, no offense Dean.

Although the MDF would work fine, though very heavy, industrial grade
particle board is what would be used in cabinet making, beneath the veneers.
The material can be found at your local HD, use the sheet that measures
49"x97".

We do use the MDF in making paint grade door panels and such, due to its
superior density.

Ken

Gents, I've seen references to using cabinet grade particle board for making
very flat building surfaces. I'm assuming this isn't something I'll find at
my local home depot. Any suggestions? (I'm in the Chicago suburbs)
