Jerry -
Since 1988, how many times have you had to re-boot the computer(s)?

Ken,

I've been using only Macs since 1988 and I can tell you that the only
Mac related virus I ever saw was about 8 years ago and it was a
Microsoft Word Macro Virus that was non-operating system specific
(meaning that it infected both Mac's and PC's). It was easily dealt
with then and I haven't had any problems since, even though I don't
use virus protection software. I can't even imagine the grief (and
expense) most PC owners go through to stay on top of this. It's not
something I'd want to have to mess with.

To be honest, being able to completely ignore the virus issues is one
of the major advantages (of many) to owning a Mac!

Jerry (Mac G5 Dual 2GHz owner who spends little to no time keeping it
going)
