Brian,

Sullivan product 581. From the elevator servo clevis -
- I use a short piece of 4-40 threaded rod into a joiner block.
- from the joiner block, a 2-56 CF nyrod goes to each elevator half.
- About 6" prior to the elevator control horn clevises (about 1" before the
rods exit the fuse), I transition the CF nyrod to 0.070" steel rod which is
a little stiffer than the CF nyrod for the last few inches where the pushrod
is unsupported.
- I make my own threads on the 0.070 rod with a 2-56 die.

The benefits of this combination of materials is that it does not rely on
any glue joints or brass fittings, and the CF nyrod is not conductive (call
me old school, but I don't like metal rods of cables running parallel to the
antenna in my plane). Total weight of the CF nyrods and casing, joiner
block, and steel rod on each end is 0.875 oz (25 grams) and I used 8 grams
of balsa structure to support the nyrod casings. Very light system. I have
some pictures of the install in my Vivat that I will send to you directly.

Dave
