  If I may be forgiven for posting this, I am hoping it will be of general interest.  The photos are self explanatory; the text is a great help in exploring someone else's thinking.  Had I ever done anything so absurdly dangerous, I assure you I would have been fired on the spot.
  Due to my own research, I decided ~1974 to only fly American flag carriers.  This does nothing to change my mind.  Just my opinion after 30 years in professional aviation.
