Tony,
When you say the NATS plan must be approved by the NSRCA are you referring to the F3A Team Trials discussion or the banquet/flying days discussion?
The reason I ask is if you're referring to the banquet/flying days discussion it seems as though the NSRCA approval process has been bypassed since the NATS packages have already been sent out.
I'm new to the process and possibly don't understand how the system works, but I would think that NSRCA approval should be obtained before mailing information to contestants.
Just trying to understand the process.

OK.
It's great to discuss NATS issues, but the real issue here is the NATS plan. NSRCA runs the NATS. The way things are setup, any changes from the previous NATS plan must be approved by the NSRCA BOARD (VPS and Officers).
The plan must be submitted by the CD's through Ron Van Putte who is the NSRCA VP and his main responsibility is to direct the NATS for NSRCA.
Ron is currently waiting on Chip Hyde and Dave Guerin (NATS Co-Event Directors) to submit a complete proposal. Part of the delay was due to final approval of the Team Selection Committee to agree to hold the TSC as part of the NATS.
I expect a proposal anytime, and the Board will then vote on it.
The membership will then be informed.
I understand the confusion, but discussing what will and will not happen will only cause further confusion, as nothing has been approved as of yet! I suggest that you contact your NSRCA VP once the plan has been presented. As of this time, they don't know any more than you or I do!
