Ken I can see that you are not running the two stroke. What happens is the idle changes between "start and finish" because the temperature differential between the barrell and carb case changes dramatically. The barrell then loses some ability to controll the airflow. For this reason we have underestimated the two strokes ability to provide downline braking.             Nat Penton
