Just a thought on measuring the pump pressure. I
talked to John Fink (hope I got the name right, from
Denver area) who was having problems w/ setup on a
1.60. He discussed measuring the pump pressure by
installing a T in the line between the carb and the
pump then ran a length of tubing up the wall. The
pressure will push the fluid up the line, I cant
remember how many inches of fuel he wound up with to
get the engine running right.
I repeated the procedure on mine and found it to work
well for measuring pressure, again I cant remember how
high the column was. This is easier than a low
pressure gage and anyone can do it, you can convert to
psi if you choose.
