Pardon my ignorance.....but what is an "A&P"?
The thickness is about 3 maybe 4 threads of 4-40......just guessing. It
was no problem. Just use a drop of Loctite and it will stay forever.

Thanks guys, sometimes I over-think stuff and make something simple into
something complicated =)
And BTW, I think removing the backplate for drilling anything back there
should be like step #1 in the ole manual...I'm an A&P, so that was a
no-brainer for me. But it also makes me want to over think stuff. Half of my
problem.
I'm going to have a look at the OS corner fitting there and see what's
involved, and I may just do the backplate. BTW anybody know how thick that
thing is? Are we talking 1 thread or 4?
Thankye thankye,
-Mike

I just posted a picture of my pressure tap on my OS160FX.
It is just a pressure tap from the hobby shop......4-40 tap
size.....drill with appropriate tap drill size first. Tap the hole, clean up
the burrs, a drop of Loctite, and snug it in.

Ok, maybe I'm missing something obvious here. But, I have an OS 160
FX and a Perry V30 pressure type pump. Where in the heck do you tap this
thing for pressure? There's usually a boss in the center of the back plate,
or the back plate is smooth, or something. This engine has raised egdes that
wouldn't allow for very easy drilling and tapping.
Any suggestions from those that have done this?
thanks,
-Mike
