John, We are talking about $650
Motor: AXI4130-20 / Jetti 77 Opto Controller (Combination) = $379 Hobby Lobby
Also: Prop Adapter, Engine Mount (Bulhead type), Motor shaft, reverser, BEC (say $80)
Battery: LiPo Kokam 6S2P4000 (8c rate)About $22 per cell (about $270)
APC E Props ($10-$15)
The MaxCim motor ($210 with gear drive) uses also the Jetti controller. The 15c Kokams cost about $28 per cell delivered (x16 for my setup).

I have been out of the competiton/mail list for a couple of year. Good to be back. I still recognize a lot of your names, and feels like meeting old friends.
I am going Electric. What were the conclusions/options of the latest threads regarding engines for 10 Lb pattern planes? If you can forward some of the most interesting, I would be very grateful.
Right now I am flying a UCanDo46 converted from a YS63 to an AXI4130-20, 6S2P @ 8C, 19x8. Excellent performance.
Also, a Creek Hobby Swallow converted from a OS90 to a MaxCim 13Yx4:28:1, 8S2P @ 15C, 18x10. Good vetical performance but looks a bit slow over the maneuvers.
Both get an easy 12 min with Kokam 2P's.
Thanks,
Wade Akle, Still Flying Pattern,
