(Dont blame me, blame Eric ) If we eliminate an existing manuever in the upper classes and add a pilot choice manuever what would be the result ? (1) stimulate additional interest by commanding more attention to fellow flyers (2) enhance the general skill level over time (3) cause sandbagging - to achieve higher score (4) create additional judging considerations - complexity, originality (5) a judging solution might be to score only 0, 8,9 or 10 ----- Original Message -----

I agree with the below...I think the AA idea is silly anyway as well as having an announcer for the 'spectators'.
These contests are not TOC type events that draw crowds from all over, these contests are local and interest in them will probably be limited as far as 'spectators' are concerned.

less pattern contest events and split dedication because of a new "group" is one of the reasons why I agree that we should not move to quickly into Artistic Aerobatics if at all?

I am also terribly against trying to have a freestyle, AA portion Sunday afternoon. Here is my reasoning.
1) Many contests we attend don't fly all 6 rounds as it is(this really upsets me even though I have driven a distance. Stay till 3 and finish the whole thing is my idea, but many differ.)
2) To add AA would only either extend the time people were there and still not finishing the pattern contests, or end up loosing more pattern contest for something new and different.
