Depends.  Heat is the enemy of batteries.  Fast charging by nature will raise 
the temperature of the battery, in that sense a slow charging method does a 
better job.  i.e. if you charge a battery on a 100 degree day it will not hold 
as much energy as a 65 degree day, when all other parameters are identical.  
Fast chargers can also falsely identify the peak.  Ideally for best capacity a 
1/10C rate charge to peak, followed by a trickle is the best.  In 
practicality..............
