Header Rise for Focus I

Now the question gets much easier to answer. The bigger one works well. The OS/Mintor version has o-rings on the exhaust stub that give some latitude in positioning. The (Mintor header being better in my opinion). A MAC header is OK but tends to break. This is easily avoided by cutting the header on the middle of the up line and using another couplers. This is an old 61 trick that still is good today. The header will be more adjustable and really can't break with two couplers in the system. I have three years on one already.
Eric.
P.S. I don't necessarily "own" all of the stuff that I talk about but I do often work with close friends who run stuff under my slightly "Stalinistic" control :-) It has been known for certain players to call me and ask if they can touch the needle valve... Once I work on an engine I tend to feel a form of ownership...Evl-1.

Eric,
I am looking at the Mintor 140. They come with either a 30mm or 60mm rise
header.

It depends upon where the exhaust port is on the engine. The rise is the
difference between the exhaust port position and where the end of the
header pipe finishes up.

Eric.

I am picking up a Focus ver. 1 from a local flyer. I am wondering how much
rise is need on the header? Is it dependent on the type engine? Any help
would be much apprciated.
