Understand - no offense - on my particular setup, there wasn't anything to put a bottom leg on, as it had a tunnel.  Trying to mount it from the top was interfered-with by the cranckase.  If there was a really tall firewall, that would have been fine; the Viper was pretty Extra-300 like in that department.

   Yes, I did know what you meant, but you could do one point at bottom and two at the sides of the cylinder head keeping all at the same radius from the crank center line, wasn't trying to be critical, three points are a very good structural means and saves a little weight.
