PPG basecoat clear coat question

I am going to pain a Temptation this weekend and bought the ppg clearcaot 
base cat system.  I was reading the paper that came with the paint and it says 
that we can mask in 20-40 minutes between coats.  Is that correct?  Can you pain 
and mask multiple colors in one day?

Do you really have to clearcoat within 24 hours or is there some wiggle room?

Do most people mix the paint reducer 1:1 as they suggest or do they reduce 
further?

Does the paint build up a film thickness excessively or is it thin?  I was 
thinking how Concept build a thick heavy film if one is not careful.
