Servos

The 9411 is a different gear design to the 84 series on the output haft. The bottom one defeated me after very trick and tool that I used and made. It was better to buy some new bearings...

I"ve done 5 8411's metal gears, converted to "SA"s and on each, removed the bearing from the metal gear. It's tight, but doable with GENTLE heating JUST the shaft/teeth of the metal gear. Heat it rapidly, after it's removed, and the bearing will almost just drop out.. The bearing is a pretty tight fit on the replacement Nylon output gear (or whatever it's made of), but it permits the drive train to be nearly all non-metal.

Mine have been working fine so far, lots of use after conversion.

The two smaller intermediate gears had missing outer teeth. The other servo I replaced all but the motor and servo arm gears with the returned metal gears and , Jerry, it feels super . The inner gear on one of the intermediate gears was missing a tooth or two. It seems to me this is the logical way to go on future conversions and I believe this is what Troy said.

I'm sure you can get the bearing off the shaft on the output gear and then it might work out..I also will add a little white grease like the servos use...Also in a pinch I have used petroleum jelly too....Probably not the best choice but it worked.
