I agree with Ed,I also flew ys for some time. Then I changed to os. In my Angels Shadow, my rx turns an 18x10 and probably has at least 150 flights or more and has not missed a lick--original bearings---factory stock, no broken chin cowling and super quite-----20-20 fuel. who neeeds a 4 stroke?

Well I used YS for a lot of years with some success. I moved to the OS 140RX and sold all the YS parts and engines I had after one failure to many at a contest. This engine has one-hundred seventy odd flights and it still runs as when new. It turns the APC four blade 15.5x12 at 8000 rpm and idles all day at 1300. (25% Mach VII). Hard to beat that. For those interested in two strokes check my personal site http://www.rcpattern.com/2cycle.htm
I had an interesting experience at the field a few weeks ago. One of our club members had the latest YS 140 fresh out of the box and couldn't get it to run. First off he had some kind of a four blade wooden prop which was so far out of balance the engine didn't have a chance. I loaned him one of my four blades and it would run for about thirty seconds or so turning about 6500 and quit. Now he tells me the YS folks told him this was to much prop for the engine. He went to a something smaller two blade and tells me it's running fine now. Go figure! I would have thought for the money it should at least run on the four.

I have to agree. Darn expensive engines the YS DZ are.

You have less than 3 days, then. Could be tricky for you.

Besides, how does one "try" something that costs $700+ ? Sounds a bit like "testing" the $3500 plasma tv.....

P.S. I am actually going to try a DZ 160 some time this year. This could mean the apocalypse is near.
