YS 160DZDerek:

I have been using the 140DZ for a couple of years, and just received my 160DZ as well. I use a 20 oz. tank, but my airplane is a top-loader, so I just take off the canopy and un-plug the fuel line from the back side of the fuel filter and fuel from there... I don't have anything external... However, many people like the little K&S plastic fuel clips. You may have seen them on helicopters. It is a small tear-drop shaped clip that can slide over the fuel line, pinching off the flow.

I just got one of these motors and I'm looking for info.

  1. What prop is best?
  2. What size fuel tank? I know the 140DZ was a thirsty beast so I'm assuming that the 160 is the same, or perhaps they've fine tuned the thirstyness.

  3. Instead of the using the angled fuel lines that come out the fuse and are pinched off with a set of haemostats. what other ways can one use to pinch off the fuel line to prevent flooding?
