I remember asking the question at the '95 Nats, "when is the next NPAC going to be?". I had not been able to attend either, and really wanted to hit the next one. I was very disappointed to find out that there were no plans for another one. And I also remember being upset to find out that the NPACs only existed for political leverage. Maybe it was good thing, but still disappointing.

I thought the idea of NPAC was a good one. Hold a national level competition on the years in between the world championships. Can migrate around the US. Less site requirements or restrictions than a full-blown NATS.

I certainly do. NSRCA hosted two N-PAC contests in the 1990's. The
first was at Lawrenceville, IL and co-CD'd by Mike Dunphy and Jim Fife.
The second was at Tullahoma, TN and CD'd by Mike Dunphy.

We hosted the N-PAC contests to demonstrate to AMA that we were willing
to and fully capable of hosting our own national championships. The
N-PAC contests were instrumental in convincing AMA to let us run our
event at the Nats. Other SIGs followed in running their events at the
Nats..
