I have one in a Big Stik that weighs around 9 lbs. The engine uses a muffler
and will pull the plane straight up. I am not happy with it's transition, I
probably need to experiment with different glow plugs. I have had the lean
out the low end needle almost to it's stop. I bet Dean would know the fix
for that problem. The odd thing about this engine is that it lost all of
it's compression very quickly, after a few dozen flights. I don't think any
dirt got into it but I was surprised that it trashed itself so quickly. Ace
RC warrantied it and replaced the piston, ring and sleeve at no cost. I have
not run it since then. It is not all that light as it weighs over 2 lbs and
the muffler is over 1/2 lb. I was thinking of using it in an Excelleron but
already have a lot of unfinished projects so maybe next year!
