Current Meter

  I want an ammeter to use in measuring current in electric-powered 
airplanes, without putting the meter into the circuit.  I just found a 
meter on sale at Sears for $29.95 and am looking for comments on its 
accuracy.  It is a Craftsman pocket size autoranging 'clamp on' ammeter 
(product number 3482062).  The specifications claim 3.0 % accuracy in 
measuring current.   Any comments out there?
