That's how I run mine. I am using the topper tank arrangement: main tank over
the cg and small topper behind the FW. Pipe pressure is fed to the main tank
vent. Works very well and power to haul off my 12 pounder with ease

A little tough to get it choked for the first run but easy after that. Of
course I abhor starters so it is tougher for me since I only crank with a chicken
stik. But once primed, one flip gets it going

Has anyone tried to simply run this engine using pipe pressure? Back in the
80's before we started using YS 60s all of us simply used pipe pressure. It
did require placing the tank behind the firewall. It may be worth trying for
a flight or two to see it the engine develops enough pressure to work. It
would simplify matters considerably.

Thanks, Rich
