May 22nd & 23rd - Dave Armstrong Memorial - Vancouver, BC (RCFCBC's Fry's Corner site) CD- Amar Shan- shan at telus.net The D.A.M. pattern contest runs May 22 and 23 at Lando Field, also known as Fry's Corner (176th Street and Fraser Highway). Dry camping available at the field. Pilots meeting at 9.30 a.m., wheels up at 10 a.m. sharp both days. Pre-registration greatly appreciated! Please send details (Name, Class, MAAC, Frequency) to Amar Shan, (604) 261-3633 or shan at telus.net Entry fee $15 --- I'm not planning a Saturday night BBQ, perhaps we can have food delivered to the field. Come out to the first contest of the season and sharpen your skills! Hope to see you all there. - all classes flown - a special welcome to Sportsman flyers, especially first time pattern competitors!
PLEASE NOTE: For our fellow competitors coming from the U.S. - The Advance schedule has some minor changes effecting 4 elements. For details check out http://members.shaw.ca/patternwestnews/rules/schedules/canadv.htm The Canadian version of the Precision Aerobatics Rule Book for 2004 has not been disseminated (to my knowledge) so the published K-Factors may be in error. We will have definitive K- Factors for the contest and these will be conveyed at the pilots meeting Saturday. Not sure about Amar but I'm bringing an appetizer for Friday night. It's become a tradition!
