Gray says that about the clothing thing because 3yrs ago a cold front came through and the temps didn't go over 48 degrees . But we still flew and made a contest of it.

The runway in Hot Springs is asphalt. Gray's correct about clothing though! Last year was great, mornings 50s, afternoons in the 70s.

Here are a few pictures from Hot Springs 2002.

Runway goes east west, fly looking north. Grass about 300 ft long. Winds vary...every round can be different. Trees to the west down a hill so too low to matter....big hill to the east...need to avoid if possible. Bring clothes for 85F and 45F.....you never know.

Hey Guys. It will be the first trip to Hot Springs for Joe and I.

Which way does the runway run? Grass/Paved? Which direction do we face?
Any predominate wind direction to anticipate?

Any tree issues? Spoilerons needed etc etc etc.

Thanx and looking forward to it next weekend.

    Ed
