NSRCA Formal Announcement

Jim...you don't have to win the contests, you just need to accumulate
more points than anyone else in your class and you win!
What happened here is the non-member flew several contests through 2002
and out pointed a NSRCA MEMBER by .81 points I think it was, then he was
allowed to join NSRCA and take home the Championship.
Pretty simple really....and that's exactly what happened.
This has absolutely nothing to do with money, increasing membership or
personal involvement.
It has everything to do with doing the right thing and having a clear
cut policy on the District Championship. Right now, as I understand it,
there is a "guideline" which says...
You have to be a NSRCA member.
You must live in the district.
The points must be compiled.
This is so broad that the VP can just about do anything he wants
to....and that's exactly what happened.
Hopefully, this will be tightened up soon.

Robt
You have good points ,but how many contests did he win before he could
buy
the Champs. Maybe I missed something. Was this a one contest take all
situation?
