NSRCA Formal Announcement

I think things like that(dues) should be standardized across the board as when they should be paid. Many people are recruited during the flying season so should they be penalized for paying later in the season? I would say as a first time member they should not. Those that have on going NSRCA membership should pay on a due date. I procrastinated and though that you could wait and pay before the championship also, but that's not so in D6 . Things like points, district and out of district contest, and how many contest count toward championship probably should be address by each district due to the variables with in each area.

I came in second place in the 2002 District 7 championships to a person who paid his NSRCA membership dues to the district VP on the day of the championship contest.

Speaking of reading the NSRCA list. Is the format for the district championship going to be standardized anytime soon? I came to realize the district championship format posted there is just a guideline that Tony S. proposed. It has created a little stir in my class in D6 mainly because of me procrastinating my enrollment till after the first two contest. Wouldnt you know I won those two contests. I though the proposed standards where what we where using and therefore my mistake. I have come to find out that the districts are setting the guidelines. Should we not have a standard format across the board for the championship? I liked the proposal that Tony suggests.

But no all new joiners and even some don't read this list and should still have that info as part of joining the organization. Those that are left out tend to develop a nasty taste in their mouth for being ignored or not part of the elite. Many social organizations I have been associated with in my life have done this and has always come back to bite them in the butt.
