D36.....I think its a D673.....LOL

I miss all the guys back in D6....but its great to meet up with guys from all over the country. The California bunch was a great influence on me, my family and my flying. The 4 months we spent there will be a big chapter in my life and flying. The entire crowd embraced both Jenny and myself and gave us the ultimate in help, support, and hospitality. Thanks WHIP, Roy Speights, Jim Woodward, Jerry Budd, Tony, Greg and all the other guys in D7 that made it such a great place to fly and hang out. I know there are tons of guys in California I left out...but I thank you guys too....Everybody opened their homes and their flying fields to us it was great.

So far the Atlanta area has been the same deal....lots of great guys and plenty of places to go fly....Now if it wasn't so hot and humid I would be out even more. Jim Ivey, Bryan Kennedy, and Emory Schroeter have all been super nice. I can't believe how many people want to go flying and spent time practicing....I wish I had the time and energy to keep up with many of them....After the Teams this past June my flying time dropped like a lead balloon. I think that between the Teams in mid June till the NATS in mid-July I had maybe 2-3 gallons of fuel....and since the NATS I think I have done a total of about 10 flights of P-03 and a couple F-03.....and that included the Tangerine with 6 rds of the Prelim pattern....I think Danny Landis has almost flown my plane as much since the NATS as I have.

But September is bringing some more contests and I think its about time to get out and enjoy the D3 scene a little.....Next weekend has a couple different choices, Nashville or JAX....and then its Huntsville, the D4 Champs, and the D3 champs then on to Burlington, NC for the D2 Champs....looks like a good list of events....might even hit the Hot Springs Arkansas contest....
