OK
Response to Troys post:
I have been quiet about this for about a year now,And due to the
inaccurate information being posted on this site I feel I must make a
ONE time statement to the facts of August 7th 2002.
On August 6th 2002 I received a selection of the NEW Duralite PLUS
Batteries and installed them in my new pattern plane. That night I did
surface deflection set-ups & placed the plane on charge and fell asleep
watching the Braves game.
That morning we awoke to thick smoke & flames coming from the downstairs
area of my home. My girlfriend, dogs & I got out with only minutes to
spare. THANK YOU GOD!
The year that followed was a real BUMMER! I was burned out of my home.
Let me tell you from experience loosing your home to model airplanes
AINT WORTH IT!
During this last year I have found out that the company had a
design/assembly problem, recalls & claims to carry NO insurance. Also has
NO interest or resources to help compensate me for my loses. Admitting
they have had to make some assembly modifications.
Now I am not going to say ALL Lithium technologies are bad. They may
not all have R/C applications. Do your homework. There are companies out
there that have real engineers & years of product development, And
product liability insurance to protect YOU and them. NOT JUST COLOR
MAGAZINE ADS!
New technologies will be coming to this hobby and all parts of our
lives, Do yourself & your loved ones a favor. Do your homework,Don't be
so quick to bring the latest & newest products into your home without
making sure the BEST testing, design & Manufacturing has been put into
these products. Not just COLOR MAGAZINE & INTERNET ADS!
If anyone has further questions or comments about this and OTHER
incidents you may contact me OFFLINE.
