Your fears are well founded.
There is a frequency board at the "stage center" R.C. site.
I arrived at the AMA last Summer to find Two guys, not from this area,
flying at the "Pavilion" site.
I stopped and ask if they were aware that RC flying was restricted to "Stage
Center".
They were not aware.
One of the guys remarked that he flew at the Pavilion site during last years
Grand Event, and thought that was where people always flew RC.
