OK, how about a "Non Sponsored" class then. Seems like that is the real 
common denominator with most of the people mentioned.

I know several old geezers who may attend the Nat's but won't. They are
competitors but when they fly against the likes of Chip, Troy, Jim, Andrew 
and the
rest of the top seeded pilots they opt-out. knowing full well that they 
cannot
compete with the top pilots in their class.
This would not be another class just another set of awards to entice older
guys to participate
Nat's participation has been dropping for the last few years and if 
something
as simple as this gives more of the senior members a reason to attend then
why not try it?
Yes, Ron I am an Old Geezer too and will attend the Nat's every year as long
as I am physically and financially able as I have for the past eight years 
but
there are some out there that won't subject themselves to the cost of going
to an event when they have no chance of winning, Nothing ventured nothing
gained!
