Hi Steve,
While not a full write up, here are the results:
Sportsman: 1st & only, Jimmy Moore
Intermediate:1st: Tom Collines, 2nd Tony Quist, 3rd Jarvis Johnson
Advanced: 1st Mike Middleton, 2nd Dave DeHart, 3rd John Contreras
Masters: 1st: Jim Woodward, 2nd Rusty Fried, 3rd Dennis Suding
FAI: 1st Greg Frohreich, 2nd Frank Kelly, 3rd Jason Shulman
Sportsman: Jimmy Moore cleaned up, winning all rounds without competition
(literally)
Intermediate: Tom and Tony (local club member) traded round wins with Tom
coming out on top in the end. Jarvis was looking better than ever with his
new USA Star, making some huge strides over presious contests!
Advanced: Mike was showing some of that NATS experience, winning 6 rounds.
Team Yuma (Dave & John), were right on his heals though!
Masters: Jim and Rusty traded rounds win with Jim coming out on top by 2.1
points in the final tally. Interesting, Rusty won 4 rounds and Jim won 5.
How? We actually tied 1000's in round 4! VERY close contest! Dennis was
flying his Temptation really well and locked up 3rd (and threw the BBQ)!
FAI: Greg, Frank, and Jason flew some exquisite FAI patterns this weekend!
Jason flew only the 3 rounds on Saturday, winning rounds 1 & 2, with Greg
winning round 4-6. Frank kept them honest and was right behind in third.
Big thanks to Rusty and the club for hosting us! We had 20 flyers and used
only one flight line both days (3 rounds each day). Temps were in the 100's
with calm winds. It was also really great for everyone to get together at
Dennis' house for Sat. night. This is one of the best ways to promote fun &
camaraderie I think!
Jason's electric was awesome to watch. Without the smoke and noise, you are
left with the single visual presentation of the FAI ballet.

Subject: PHOENIX CONTEST
Does anyone have the results of the Phoenix contest. With 100+ temps it had
to be tough conditions.
What kind of turnout did they have in the various classes?
Steve
