 Mark we had flash cards in the 70's and it was really fun. It just stopped being used but I sure would like to see someone experiment with it again. The scribes sat behind the judges and recorded the numbers. You could get away with 1 scribe per line too. Mike

As for Weedon...well...I think he's using the glare to blind the judges...

I still think the way to make it more spectator friendly is to put LARGE LCD displays behind each judge showing the crowd the score he/she just gave on the last manuever...the "ooohs" and "aaahs" would only be drowned out by the "YOUR BLIND!!" and "WHO's PLANE ARE YOU WATCHING??"

By Jove I think you've got it Bill. All the pattern participation woes can be solved. Think about it, the first Swedish swimsuit pattern team. come to think of it, that would probably solve all of the judging problems as well. Who could judge a Double Weedon performed by Kathy Ireland in a thong bikini. even if I saw the manuever (big if) I couldn't downgrade it.
