Thanks Michael,

I enjoyed the day. Perfect weather outside one little ole shower. Flew till we ran out of fuel and daylight. Glad you got to experience one of the finer flying fields in North Texas. Don't be afraid to post..... and post often as you like.

I have to say this is the best way to promote pattern and the NSRCA.

Here is some background. I live in Alaska and I am a lurker on the mailing list. I have never really thought about joining the NSRCA because of the limited number of pattern contest that I can attend (Approx 3). It is pretty much out of the question for me to pack up a plane ship it to the lower 48 and then fly myself down to compete in other district contests.

About a month ago I posted on the list that I was going to be in Austin Texas for a week and was looking for a place to hang out at on Sunday. It was only a matter of minutes be for I got a reply from Wayne Galligan who invited me to come up to the field in Waco. Now let me say Wayne did not know me from Adam but he brought his 2 pattern ships and a buddy box to the field. The weather turned out to be beautiful and we flew until it was dark.

After that experience all I have to say is wow. The NSRCA now has a new member and my pattern bug is even worse.

Wayne thanks again so much for taking the time out of your weekend. It was very much appreciated and if you ever make it to Alaska, you have a place to fly and if you play your cards right I show you where the good fishing is.
