The Yak is awesome. I have built one with a Razor V2 motor. At 13 ozs, its got a 2-1 power to weight ratio with the 12x6 GWS prop..
Its absolutely amazing what these flat foam planes will do. I even fly through the Intermediate pattern with it. And my 3D practice has become much more proficient. Its a great training aide for Epower as well. Nest I am build the SouthernX2. Its a near indestructible EPP 3D Trainer. This small electric stuff is way a way cool alternative when you cant get to the flying field with the big stuff.

If anyone wants to see the Yak photos, let me know and I will email some small Kb files to you.

Getting a few inquiries about foamys. I'm pretty new to this but there is a ton of info online about these planes. See more at the foamyfactory.com.
There you can get free plans for a 3DX. They also have a cool Yak for $12.
Just a few things thati've learned are that Depron is the superior foam. Fanfold is the crap they sell at Home Depot and Lowes. Try and search out the videos and you'll see what I'm talking about. These planes are the thing for E plane introduction. You will get practice with Li polys, Motors, and ESC's all valuable if you think that E pattern may be in the future.
It's really something at my LHS nobody's buying anything in the gas section and they can't keep up with the demand in the E section. Most of the interest they are getting is in guys building theses crazy foamys. You will find more info on this forum:

   Good luck Mike
