Face it you fly too much. That's why the equipment wears out. I wear out 2-3 batt. operated fuel pumps per year.

Subject: Best glow device?
Hi All,
I've had a bad streak of luck lately with the attaching any type of glow plug clip to my engines. Everyone knows the Pro-Driver is an excellent device, and after a while we need to replace the Sullivan clip on the end, usually with the "professional" one. However, the twist-lock Sullivan device is just not lasting for me anymore. On my old Pro-Driver, I've replaced it about 5 times (with pro-sullivan silver one). I have a brand-new Pro-Driver II with the silver Sullivan clip, and it did not make it through 3 days of use. It now pops off the plug as soon as you hit the starter on the engine. Plug types have been the OSF and OSA5.
Since I had some bad luck with the twist-lock style, I tried the Dubro "grasping" style. It lasted 4 days of use. Just today, it started popping off the engine once the engine started.
Is there anyway to repair the Sullivan style of twist lock? Is there anything better? Fixing the Dubro plug-grasping style seems easy enough.
I don't want to go to a remote glow device.
TIA
Jim W.
