Jim,

Yup that is my plan next time out. I will take them off and see if there is an improvement. I was just wondering if anyone had them cause a similar problem to date.

Thanks
Dan

    Subject: Wheel pants

    Hey Guys,

My latest plane has fixed gear and pants. If memory serves this is the first plane that I have ever owned that had wheel pants. The pants are very light and along with this is the fact they are relatively flimsey. They are anchored on the gear leg and have minimal movement (there is a bit) up and down. However, they can be moved side to side pretty easily by grabbing the front and moving them. My plane on the first flights has shown some rather strange yaw tendencies. Sometimes it seems like it needs some pretty hefty right rudder trim and other times during the same flight it will seem that left trim is called for. Could this yaw problem be related to the pants movement? Hope I made that close to understandable.

    Dan
