Smaragd

Don you need to do this work...It is a change for the "Z" version...The std Smaragd has the down thrust in it....This is what the Matt's are flying...The Quique version is less to no down thrust...hence the "Z"

So the mold is not changed....I have flown both....The std version runs a little more forward CG...the more nose heavy you get the more down thrust that is needed...The more aft the CG moves the less down thrust that is needed. The original CG is around 40mm and the Z version has it around 46mm behind the tube....All in all its not that critical...I think the Z version flies a little better. I changed the thrust on my std version and it improved the upline after a snap....before the plane would slight push out after the snap...Once you "caught it" with a little up elevator....the plane would stop pushing and would go dead straight up...even after you would come out of the elevator on the upline...But the Z version doesn't do this.

Its a good change

I have a Smaragd Z kit that hits that the engine offset should be changed compared to the older kit. Does anyone know if this new offset is built into the mold or should the fuse be modified to change the engine offset?

I'm attaching the drawing from the instructions but they may not come through.
