stab tube weights?

    GW, those weights were the tube only.  The socket by itself weighs .3 ounces or 9 grams.  Considering how far back you are saving the weight, it will make a differance if you need to add nose weight to balance you plane, due to fact you will need a lot less nose weight than you would have with the heavier stab tube.

        7/16x12 Aluminum .8 ounces or 24 grams

      Anyone know the weight savings(or percentage of weight)  a carbon stab tube will have over the  aluminum stab tube of standard length (12" i think)?
