Hi Ken, What are you using to hold the wheel pant to the Bolly gear on the inside of the axel? Reeves

In addtion to the lower price, the Klett axles allow one to support the outboard side of the pants. This isn't possible with the NB axles.

Using the Keltt axles, I glue a little piece of lite ply with a 5/32" hole on the inside of the pant (outboard pant side), then trim the axle so that it just fits into the lite ply hole.

On the other side, the Klett is steel and requires use of collars or other wheel retainer...i.e. weighs a few grams more than the NB axles. So if you are a weight fanatic...or really need to loose some weight the NB might be a solution....but ++++$.

I can't believe anyone would pay that much for them! Especially when the Klett's are out there for $2.79 for a pair!

Here's a picture of the NB version from my building site. Hope it's useful.

Yes, These are the axles manufactured by NB Engineering and they are specially designed for Bolly or compatible fixed gear with wheel pants in use with Dave Brown or similar light wheels. Very light and easy to use.

Bolly Props NA have an aluminum axle listed for fixed gear. (http://www.bollyprops.com/) (landing gear)
